It Starts with Pencil and Paper

3D Animators who specialise in character design generally start the whole thing off a very traditional form of visual communication … pencil and paper. Before embarking on the intricate process of modelling a character in Maya, students studying the MDS Diploma of 3D Computer Animation complete character design exercises that involve drawing and concept art. Here are a couple of examples of some striking work coming out of the MDS February 09 3D intake.
