X|Media|Lab is coming to Auckland on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of May this year after being held in Wellington last year. AND this is a big deal! The opportunities that arise from the Lab are endless as it is quite a unique creative event for anyone working in the digital media industries (web, games, film, …) who has got great ideas and great projects, but who needs that boost to make it happen.
This year’s lab based on “commercialising ideas” is organised around a one-day Keynote Conference that showcases presentations from all the mentors who are present during the two-day intensive lab and idea development time of the event. Those mentors come all the way from Los Angeles, New York, Mumbai, Toronto, and much more.
The highlight of this creative event is to enable anyone with a great project or idea to present that project for selection, and if selected, to work directly with top industry experts in their field on it. The lab is almost a short, intensive incubator during which one gets the chance to develop their ideas further into a commercial phase of development.
X|Media|Lab is also a great network platform where one gets to meet top-notch industry practitioners and potential collaborators and creatives from the local industry.
If that sounds like you, check out the X|Media|Lab Auckland programme to learn more about the conference and on how to submit a project for selection.
