Tasty Town Hall

A visually spectacular public event that saw the Auckland Town Hall lit up with a series of moving projections to celebrate the launch of Telecom NZ’s new mobile network (XT), had some MDS grads working at the heart of the visuals.

MDS Diploma of Visual Effects and Motion Graphics graduates Mike Dean and Shawn Madgwick (of The Dark Room), and Arien Hielkema, all contributed graphics and animation work to this major installation, working off a brief from Kiwi company The Dark Room (for ultimate client Telecom).

The Town Hall will be alive with light until Saturday 16 May, if you happen to be in the city, get down there to have a looksie. It’s pretty damn tasty.
