The Crowbar award finalists were announced this week and as always, MDS has succeeded beyond expectations with 38 finalists from courses such as Digital Media, Interactive Gaming, 3D Animation, Creative Advertising and Visual Effects and Motion Graphics.
One of the many MDS finalists, Kim Fraser from the Diploma of Creative Advertising course, entered her work “Bruise Drama” into the copy-writing category. This creative advertisement was part of an assignment to reflect the Anti-flamme brand and she was no doubt nominated for her clever way with words to achieve this.

Another outstanding piece of work from MDS students is “Freezeframe”. In this adorable stop-motion short from the Diploma of 3D Computer Animation, two eskimos struggle with their timing when posing for a holiday snap on the ice. It is great to see stop-motion having such success in international awards such as Crowbar.
The annual Crowbar awards are a fantastic way for creative students to showcase their work and find a break into the industry so this is a great achievement for MDS students. The winners are announced on the 28th August so all the best to all our MDS finalists. Keep up the good work!

Can’t wait to see how the students get on. We’ve got a great history with Crowbar and I’m sure this year will be no exception. Congratulations to all finalists!
