Kirsten Pretorius - 3D Still Life Render
Media Design School Advanced 3D student Kirsten Pretorious 3D Still Life composition is titled Perlemoen (Abalone) and his choice reflects his ”love for the aquatic world and the diversity of New Zealand”.
Kirsten used a mixture of Maya, Z-Brush, Nuke and Photoshop to put together his 3D render. Regarding the overall techniques used for the project he comments:

“My studio lighting for the original photo utilised a mixture of soft box and point lights. The image was captured with a digital SLR cmaera, the final image was reproduced in 3D with digial lighting, modelling and texturing.”
